​Port Stephens is approximately 200km or 2 ½ hrs north of Sydney along the M1 freeway. From the M1 turn right following the sign to Hexham & Pacific Highway.

The road merges with the New England Highway after which you should enter the left lane and follow sign to Taree & Pacific Highway and head over Hexham Bridge.

Follow the Raymond Terrace bypass and exit at the Richardson Road/Nelson Bay sign. Continue following signs to Nelson Bay. From Nelson Bay Road follow signs to Salamander Bay.

From Dubbo take the New England Highway to Hexham and then follow signs for Nelson Bay (continue as if coming from Sydney).

From the north east coast take the Pacific Highway south until you come to Raymond Terrace. Exit this road here, heading towards Nelson Bay (continue as if coming from Sydney).
